Stars shine bright on Poker
So you thought they are just all good looks? Well you obviously thought wrong. Some celebrities have already gone to the world of poker and are enjoying the challenge poker brings to them.
One of them is Cameron Diaz - a hot Hollywood chick known for her excellent figure and stunning smile. Her claim to fame is Charlie's Angels and the hilarious There's Something About Mary. It was said that the equally popular television show host Elen Degeneres brought her to the poker world. One night, Elen invited Cameron to play some poker games with her and friends but Cameron hesitated. She said that at that time, she does not know anything about poker, but Elen was persistent. So, they tried to learn poker together that night, with Cameron ending up with the biggest money.
Cameron's recently rumored boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio is also much involved in the poker world. His claim to fame is the Titanic and Man in the Iron Mask. He was recently spotted in Las Vegas, frequently playing at the famous casinos there. It is also believed that because of his enthusiasm in poker, he is now friends with no other than Doyle Brunson. He has also played in some gambling roles in movies such as Jack in Titanic and Howard Hughes.
Equally handsome is Nick Carter. Nic Carter's claim to fame is his Backstreet Boys' stint. For a long time, Back Street Boys reigned as the most popular boy band in the whole world, with Nick Carter as its most famous member. But this Backstreet Boy has stepped out of his boy-next-door image and shifted to a more mature image. He now plays poker with his fellow celebrities. By the way, Nick Carter is brother to Aaron Carter, also a popular singer. However, there is no news whether Aaron carter is hooked to poker as well.
Good looks are not a requirement in playing poker, but they are not hindrance as well. Just take Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Nick Carter for example. They certainly are good looking people but they have proven that they can get down and dirty in the world of poker. If you think that they cannot play nasty poker, think again. Looks can be very deceiving. After all, poker is a great equalizer. It does not measure a player on the basis of his or her day job, salary, or looks. It is what's in the head that matters.
