Let us start with the game play and introduction of Omaha poker, since it has been named one of the most popular poker varieties. In Omaha poker, everyone receives two hole cards and another two cards to form a poker hand. The community cards consist of the regular five community poker cards and Omaha poker can be played high or can be played high/low which means that the highest hand splits the winnings with the lowest hand. Omaha is so popular because the chances of winning the pot are bigger than in any other poker variant, and you can also play a low hand as well.
The next to present out of the three poker varieties is Texas Holdem poker. In Texas Holdem poker, every player receives two hole cards and they have to pair those two cards with the five available community cards. Texas Holdem is now played frequently in tournaments and private gatherings and is favored by poker players who are professional players. Texas Holdem is usually only played with high cards and not with low ones and Texas Holdem poker has increased in popularity ever since this poker variant has been featured in one of the James Bond movies.
The last of the poker varieties that we are presenting to you is 7-Card Stud poker and this is a poker variety that is played with open cards which means that every player can view your cards and vice versa. 7-Card Stud poker is played with the first two hole cards face down which means that these two cards are not visible to the other players. The next four cards are being dealt openly and the last card is face down again. 7-Card Stud poker requires a good memory because you should memorize the cards of the players who folded so that you can cross out certain cards in your opponent's hand.
